nodebook pop-up lounge
experience design
Nodebook Lounge is a three-hour pop-up writing space where everyone responds to the same prompt. Drop in for five minutes or stay for the whole session — write as much or as little as you like.
Each contribution becomes a node in a larger collective work. At the end of the event, all entries will be gathered and assembled into a published Nodebook, creating a unique snapshot of how many different people explored the same idea.
No writing experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to put a few words on paper.

1 prompt, many thoughts
For the first edition, the participants were invited to reflect on a single prompt: "one word they keep dear". The interpretation was entirely their own. They could choose a word from any language, invent a new one, or select a word that held personal meaning. Some participants wrote only the word itself, while others expanded on its story, significance, or the memories attached to it.
Once finished, each contribution was added to the growing Nodebook wall. Throughout the event, this collection evolved into a living exhibition piece in its own right — a visual landscape of thoughts, languages, emotions, and perspectives connected by a shared prompt. What began as individual reflections gradually became a collective artwork. Following the event, all contributions will be gathered and assembled into the first published Nodebook, preserving this unique snapshot of many minds exploring the same idea from different directions.

the devil in the details
To create the right atmosphere for reflection and meaningful writing, we selected one of the most peaceful spaces in the building. Overlooking the sea, the room offered a sense of calm, focus, and distance from the noise of everyday life, inviting participants to slow down and turn their attention inward.
We chose paper that felt good to write on and hand-stamped each page with the Nodebook mark, transforming a simple sheet of paper into something a little more special. Together, these small touches helped create an experience that felt intentional, intimate, and worthy of the thoughts people chose to share.
