online and offline platform

Nodebook is a shared journaling platform built around a simple idea: one topic, many perspectives. Each week, people from around the world are invited to contribute short notes, reflections, stories, drawings, or thoughts in response to a common theme.

Alongside the digital platform, Nodebook hosts pop-up writing lounges and live events where participants gather to write on the same prompt in a shared physical space.

from a personal journal to a shared one

Nodebook grew out of Cocoon Journal, a personal journal published on Instagram that emerged during a period of profound transformation following a life-changing event.

The journal explored questions of meaning, identity, healing, and what remains when life no longer follows the path we imagined. While the metaphor of a cocoon suggests becoming a butterfly, the unexpected outcome was something different: a desire to create a shared space where many voices could reflect together. Nodebook became that space—a collective notebook built on the belief that meaning is not only something we discover alone, but something we create together.

minimalist experiments

In designing Nodebook, we explored how far minimalism could be taken. Our goal was to create a space so simple that it invites spontaneity—much like being handed a blank sheet of paper. By removing visual noise and unnecessary guidance, we aimed to create maximum mental space, allowing thoughts to emerge naturally rather than be shaped by distractions or overthinking. The design intentionally steps into the background, making room for reflection, creativity, and authentic expression.
